Multiple Award-winning rapper, Sarkodie, speaking at the 7th edition of the mentorship program LEAD SERIES disclosed that 90% of the production on the Highest Album was done by record producer, singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur, Jayso

Sarkodie pointed out that it took him two years to put together his fourth studio album, The Highest which was released on September 8, 2017.

The Highest album has 15 brand new songs, three interludes, and a bonus track, making 19 tracks in total.

When asked how difficult it was for him in selecting songs for The Highest, he said

it wasn’t as hard as compared to Rapperholic and Sarkology because I recorded those two albums with lots of producers and I had to choose which one I was going to go with

However, with The Highest album, it was planned with Jayso.

“90% of the production was done by him. So it was very easy” he added.

He further explained that,

if you know Jayso, he wouldn’t send you five beats at once. He will send you bit by bit. So I didn’t have too much to play with and go like am gonna sieve it.

I think the number of songs we took out of the album were like four or five songs which were meant for the album. But I definitely have lots of tracks that didn’t fit the theme and sound for the highest album. So for the highest album we had just three of four songs that we dropped
